New to facebook?

ok so i just got a facebook but i dont know anything. im completely lost. like where do ou put your layouts, and how do you search your friends, and what do you put on it?? I have a myspace and i think its ALOT easier, but i want to try facebook. I would like some instructions !! i need help!!

lol when I first joined Facebook, I also thought myspace was definitely easier! But here's some quick intro tips to Facebook:





First invite your friends! On the top there's a Friends tab with an upside-down triangle next to it. Hit the triangle until you get to 'Find friends.' You can then add your friends according to your email or school.





Next get cool applications! Go to the left part of the screen where it says Applications. Hit the 'edit' button next to it. Then hit the 'Browse More Applications.' It'll show you the most popular applications. To add the applications, click on the name and then the 'Add Application' button on the right side. Just kinda look around for cool ones or use the same ones your friends have.





Finally organize your applications! Hit the 'Profile' button at the top. You can then change up the order of where your applications end up on your profile page by just draggin them to where you want to put them -- whether it's higher up the page or you switch it from the left/right sides.





A lot of it is really just playin around with it to figure it out. There are SO many privacy setting available also, but they're kinda hard to explain. Just keep lookin around, it's kinda hard at first but you'll get it. At first I *hated* Facebook, but now I find I'm on Facebook more than myspace. I still love myspace though! :)
Reply:you can't put layouts on facebook like on myspace! but they have cool applications! make sure you get the free gifts application so that you won't have to pay $1 to send gifts to friends! I also have the top friends application so that it's easier to get to my friends pages.





there will be a thing on facebook that says "find your friends". just enter your email address and password and it will find your friends from your email address book on facebook. when you edit your profile, you can add schools and work so that you can browse and find your friends
