Is this a good idea for a website?

I have an idea for a website that would be like myspace.com except users would get a revenue share for the advertising on their profiles and picture pages.





I know mylot.com does something like this, but their page layout is bad and it doesn't have the community feeling that myspace, facebook, or hi5 has. It's more like a glorified forum.





The site layout would be much cleaner than myspace and it would be just as easy to network and keep in touch.





Would you join a site like this? Why or why not?

Is this a good idea for a website?
I would love that kind of web site.Let us know when you have it up and running.I love the revenue idea.There,s so few good ways to earn money on the net and staying in touch is great.
Reply:Well, I think it may be hard to decide who's pages are getting the most people who use or buy from the advertisers. Say your advertiser is Nike. Say your page gets 1,000 hits a day but only 5 of those people decide to go through and buy Nike shoes. But my page gets 100 hits and since all my friends like to spend spend spend, 25 of them buy Nike shoes. Now who gets the bigger cut? You or I? I'm no expert, just a thought...





I don't think I would join unless i thought my chances of generating a good amount of income were good. Then again how can I be sure your aren't scamming me? Another big problem, IMO.
Reply:i think it could be, but truthfully posting it on here isnt a good idea, someone will see it and rip off the idea, so be careful, i think with the right ideas and enough effort it could be really successful. good luck = )
