Is there more I can do on Facebook?

I have a Myspace account but recently got Facebook b/c my cousins have it so I can keep in touch with them. Anyways, maybe I'm use to being able to personalize my myspace page and there's all these fun things I can do in it. I like to play with quick animations and I can even post them on myspace. I'm having a hard time with Facebook. It's not eye friendly, there's not much to play with and worst I cant post my lil animation stuff on my facebook profile pic. Since I'm pretty new to this facebook, are there things I can do to change the layout, colors, animation, etc. Does Facebook use HTML codes like Myspace? Can anyone teach me some stuff about Facebook to make it more fun for me? THANKS

I don't think you can do nearly as much with Facebook. It seems to be designed for an older, more boring crowd. It's like Myspace's nerdy brother.

Reply:you cant put codes on facebook but they have things called applications that are really fun and are kind of like the codes that you can put on your myspace
Reply:I believe the owners of Facebook don't want to have a myspace clone. Because of that, one thing they absolutely forbid is anything "autoplaying" so you can't have any audio or video play automatically when someone goes to your page. Also layout seems to be limited to two columns - the left one is narrow and the right one is wider. You can rearrange most items up/down and also from narrow column to wide but some have to pretty much stay where they are. Customization seems to be mainly by adding applications written for facebook by third party developers. I am not aware of any way to change the background.





I believe facebook is a little less eye candy and a lot more interactive.

Reply:You can add applications, which can do a lot of stuff. Find out yourself, you will enjoy it. Go to any group, and you'll find interesting there.





However, Facebook does not use HTML codes. Facebook is really just a simple look. I think Facebook is better than Myspace because you can do more in Facebook and it's really simple to use.





BTW, the comments in MySpace are like Wall post in Facebook, except you can actually chat in Facebook;)
