How can I put backgrounds on my facebook? Backgrounds or layouts.? And where can I get it...?

Facebook does not have custom backgrounds or layouts. Everybody's profile pretty much looks the same. if you would like to personalize your profile a bit then try adding some applications.

What happened to Facebook's layout?
There's apparently some glitches, the who's online page doesn't load and the profiles now have a big blue border making everything look out of place. I've tried cleaning my cache etc. and restarting the computer but nothing worked.

Help: facebook profile layout?
Dont know why, but when i logged in today, everything (all the apps, mini feed, wall, etc. ) were all in one long column on the left. It takes really long to scroll down, and its getting annoying.

Can you delete an application on a Facebook layout?
sure can...just click on the "edit" link next to the heading "Applications". that'll take you to a list of all the applications you have to your account. then find the one(s) you want to remove and select "remove". a window will pop up asking you to confirm that you want to remove the application, and then click remove again.

Facebook layout messed up - can't post?
Hi all,
The FB layout is messed up and I can't post messages. I went to the Java site and updated to the newest version. I restarted my computer and my internet options under Scripting even show it's enabled.
However, my FB layout is still messed up and there's even a message on there that says, "Please enable JavaScript on your browser or upgrade to a Javascript-capable browser to register for Facebook."
Please advise. The only thing new to my computer is a modem we've had for a month. I can't think of any situation where we've disabled Java recently.

Facebook layout messed up, can't post or message!?
So this starting happening near the beginning of this week...I went to Facebook and the layout was all messed up. On the sign-in page it said something about JavaScript being disabled. Now I can sign in, but I can't post on anyone's wall or reply to messages, which is pretty much what I have Facebook for. Yet I can poke people and comment on their pictures...?? I've tried clearing the cache and cookies but nothing has worked. The computer has also been set back to Sunday, when it was working, but it didn't do anything. I'm not sure if it's just a problem with Facebook or if it's my computer...I've used Internet Explorer and Firefox, and neither work. Please help!!
Also, when we use our internet in my sister's laptop, it works fine, so I don't think it has anything to do with our connection either...

There is no way to get any layouts but there are two applications that may help you. One lets you put music on your page but it does not start automatically. The other one is called the super wall and it allows you and friends to put different things up on it. Its only on a section of your page though. Have fun! :-)

It's not possible... but I bet there are some applications that allow you to do that with the new Facebook platform they've installed. To look at the applications click on the Application link on the left of the screen and then click the "browse applications" button to look for an application that would help you achieve what you're trying to do. I know of some applications that do allow you to add music to your profile and I think I've recently seen something that allows you to add HTML codes to a certain part of your profile, but as of late there is no way to change your entire profile with HTML code.

I don't think you can add those things to your profile. However, there is a new feature called "shares" where you can add Youtube videos, websites, and links to your shares. When you're logged in, on the left side check out "My Shares" for more information, or check out the help pages.

You can't actually change the colours or themes of Facebook, but you can move your information windows such as your wall, your personal information around.
Just drag and drop.
In addition, you can add and remove addons and apps to your facebook to enhance the appearance.

Short answers: - It's not MySpace (thank God)

- It's not that customizable in the first place.

I know it sucks.. everyone's is the same except for the pictures and info %26amp; stuff.. that's why people use myspace for expressing theirself through music and fun layouts %26amp; that stuff but facebook is better for more serious things %26amp; just sharing pictures. it's kinda more like just to connect with your friends and join networks where myspace is your own personal webpage with your fave pics, music, friends, and all that. People use facebook more in college than anything else especially to stay in touch with old friends..

Html coding is not possible on Facebook, in any way.

You cannot get Facebook layouts like Myspace. That is one of the differences between the two and why some people like Facebook better. You can add fun applications to your profile though that are pretty good

With the recent audition of applications on Facebook, do you think that layouts are in the near future? I believe they are, and I just wanted to know other people's opinions. And yes, facebook is becoming like myspace, but facebook is more sophisticated. Which do you like better? Which one are you on more? I deleted my myspace not too long ago. I got sick of it. I really hope Facebook adds the option of layouts, or at least different skins then that boring blue one. :)
